The Institute of Modeling and Technological Innovation (IMIT) congratulates Juan Cruz Vergara on the successful defense of his final thesis for his Bachelor of Science in Physics degree. His research, entitled “Design of Spectral Emission Lines in Nonlinear RLC Circuits Near Exceptional Points,” was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Lucas Fernández Alcázar and addressed the study of mechanisms that allow for the controlled modification of the emission profiles of electromagnetic systems, particularly antennas and resonant circuits.

The work combined theoretical developments, numerical simulations, and experimental verifications in the laboratory, demonstrating that it is possible to generate unconventional emission lines through the interaction of gain, nonlinearity, and exceptional points. These results contribute new knowledge to the field of wave physics and non-Hermitian systems, and open avenues for the development of devices with potential applications in communications and instrumentation.
