The main objective of the research stay was to acquire specific technical knowledge and perform optical characterization measurements at the prestigious Center for the Development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA).

During her visit, Dr. Valdez received assistance and collaboration from leading researchers in the use of specialized equipment:

  • Dr. Juan Escrig (CEDENNA-USACH)
  • Dr. Alejandro Pereira (Adolfo Ibáñez University - UAI)
  • Dr. Noelia Bajales Luna (FaMAF-UNC)

As part of the scientific outreach activities, the progress and results obtained were presented at a seminar held at UAI, in conjunction with Dr. Bajales Luna and her thesis student, Nicolás Yoma.

This visit has been key not only for advancing the scientific objectives of Dr. Valdez's postdoctoral research plan, but also for establishing and consolidating important cooperative relationships with Chilean institutions and strengthening the relationship with FaMAF-UNC.
