Of all the agents of sediment transport operating in the Earth’s surface, the rivers are the most important becoming real modelarores of the continental landscape.
The northeastern region of our country contains important watersheds, where it is possible to assess the magnitude and complexity of the processes involved, as also its consequences for the activities developed by the man.
The talk addressed conceptual and methodological aspects of the dynamics of the sediment transport by rivers, where shows information with physical, chemical, and biological implications related to the scientific and social progress of the region.
It emphasized the need to develop programs of monitoring based on sampling, allowing you to calibrate the indirect methods of quantitative estimation of sediment.
