Identification of the capacities of indigenous lactic bacteria from Corrientes causes a great impact
The study carried out by the research group “Microbial Biotechnology for Food Innovation” (BiMIA), of the Institute of Modeling and Technological Innovation (IMIT-CONICET) and the Faculty of Exact, Natural Sciences and Surveying of UNNE (FaCENA), has had a great impact.
The study was conducted by the research group “Microbial Biotechnology for Food Innovation” (BiMIA), of the Institute of Modeling and Technological Innovation (IMIT-CONICET) and the Faculty of Exact, Natural Sciences and Surveying of UNNE (FaCENA).
Mario Maximiliano Maidana, a doctoral fellow at Conicet in charge of the project, and Dr. Olga Vasek, director of the study and head of the BIMIA Group, highlighted the importance of the research to demonstrate in different strains of LAB from Corrientes the inhibitory activity against L. monocytogenes, with different levels of antagonistic intensity.
