INSTITUTIONAL SEMINAR

Multiscale modeling of saturated porous media

The Institute for Modeling and Technological Innovation (IMIT) held the Institutional Seminar entitled "Multiscale modeling of saturated porous media" on September 18 at 3:00 p.m. with great success. The event was held in a hybrid format, bringing together students, researchers and professionals interested in deepening their knowledge about the mechanics of saturated porous materials.

The seminar, which took place in the Graduate Classroom of the UNNE Faculty of Engineering "Prof. Armando Miguel Awruch", focused on the multiscale approach and homogenization techniques, fundamental tools to predict the complex behavior of saturated porous materials. These materials, present in areas such as Geomechanics, Biomechanics and Materials Science, pose significant challenges for their study and modeling.

The IMIT Institutional Seminar represented an invaluable opportunity for the academic and professional community of the region. Attendees were able to interact with experts, exchange ideas and enrich their understanding of saturated porous materials, a topic of vital importance in various scientific and technological disciplines.

Engineer Adrián Anonis is a young expert researcher with a solid background in the area. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering at UNNE and a current Doctoral Fellow at CONICET. He shared his knowledge and perspectives on this exciting field, providing attendees with an updated and in-depth view of the topic.
